The Bay of Biscay is renowned for winter storms but what does it offer the cruising boater during the summer? Why do so many choose to linger? Are there any sheltered anchorages?
This seminar is for those who have yet to venture in Biscay Section waters, or who are intending to cruise southwards from Northern Spain towards Gibraltar.

Midsummer Rallies Western France June 25th & 26th 2016
We are repeating the informal get-togethers that we have held for the past two years. Wherever we are on 25th and 26th June, boats may welcome other CA members to join them. The form of the rally/meet will be in the hands of members who have volunteered to act as hosts.
Mon, 20/06/2016 - 00:00 to Fri, 01/07/2016 - 00:00
The Rally will begin in Ribadesella on June 20th and our final port of call will be Gihon, ending there on July 1st, perhaps spending time in Lastres, thus providing easy cruising between ports. The Rally has been timed to avoid the crowds that this coast attracts in high season, but when the weather should be kind to us. The scenery in this part of Spain is stunning, and the Northern coast has a very different culture to that of the Mediterranean. There is a great deal to see and do.
This all-day seminar, on the final day of the London Boat Show, is open to all CA members and their guests. The programme will feature a range of presentations of interest to boaters sailing or intending to sail in Biscay Section waters. The speakers will include:
