UK VAT on Yachts – Changes to Returned Goods Relief have become UK Law

The CA announced in mid-December that the UK Government would make a positive change to the application of Returned Goods Relief (RGR) for recreational craft resulting in many boat owners no longer becoming liable to pay VAT on the return of their boats to the UK.

New Cruising Association Guide for Mediterranean Bound Yachts

The European Inland Waterways Section of the Cruising Association (CA) has published a new comprehensive guide for yachts planning to reach the Mediterranean through the inland waterways, entitled 'Through France via the Inland Waterways'.

Club Cruiser Class entries open for Cowes Week 2022

The Cruising Association is proud to be partnering with Cowes Week for the second year as presenting trophy sponsor for the Club Cruiser Class, which made its debut in 2021. Taking place from 30 July-5 August 2022, Cowes Week is the pre-eminent race week in the UK with racing on the world renowned Solent courses and an après sail programme that makes sure the fun continues long after the finish.

Cruising Association hosts Brexit Webinar

The Cruising Association hosted a Brexit Webinar for members on Saturday 22 January 2022, which is now published for public viewing amongst the wider cruising community.

The Brexit Webinar was a follow-up to the first CA webinar held in December 2020, and addressed the key issues which continue to impact sail and motor cruisers as a consequence of the UK leaving the EU.

New and updated editions of Inland Waterways Cruising Guides published

New and updated full colour print and digital editions of the Cruising Association's (CA) five main inland waterways cruising guides - Cruising the Inland Waterways of France and Belgium, Through the Netherlands via the Standing Mast Routes, 50 Great Cruising Routes in the Netherlands, The River Moselle/Mosel and The German Rhine - have been published by the CA's European Inland Waterways Section (EIWS).
