The Antiques Roadshow have regularly sought Robert's expertise on historical small arms over the last 14 years. His great grandfather acquired the firearm business based in Beccles in the 1860s and it has stayed in the family ever since.

ORCA, Looking out for Whales and Dolphins, by Anna Bunney

Protecting our cetaceans is at the heart of ORCA's work. This organisation specialises in collecting data about marine mammals through surveys in partnership with various shipping companies, including Fred Olsen based in Ipswich. Suffolk all day Seminar: Cruising the Baltic

The Sutton Hoo Project by Paul Constantine

“The Dig” on TV has brought to our attention the wonderful Anglo-Saxon treasure but the remains of the ship contains a wealth of information of great interest to an expert on Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian crafts like Paul Constantine, who is leading a project to build a replica in the Long Shed in Woodbridge.  On his second visit to the Suffolk Section, Paul will give us an update on the progress made in Woodbridge on the Sutton Hoo Replica Project since last year.

East Coast August Bank Holiday Rally postponed to 30th April to 2nd May 2022

Unfortunately this event has been postponed for 2021 and will now be held over the early May 2022 Bank Holiday weekend which is our normal time for the East Coast Rally, 30th April to 2nd May 2022.

Those who have already paid for 2021 will receive a full refund and we do hope that you will be able to join us in 2022.

QHM Talks about Portsmouth Harbour to CA Suffolk by Rebecca Walford

The Portsmouth Queen’s Harbour Master's remit is to look after 55 square miles of the eastern Solent primarily to protect defence interests. Rebecca is part of a 36 man team and she will give us a snapshot of her responsibilities. She is a Yachtmaster Examiner and has skippered the Army’s 20m training yachts around the world. Her current role is to “look after and keep an eye on recreational boaters”, which is all of us!

East Coast Early May Bank Holiday Rally
