Sir Robin Knox-Johnston gives his thoughts on pollution at sea and discusses the damage to the ocean environment with Dee Caffari
Anyone who spends time at the coast will understand the level of pollution in the sea. Plastic is everywhere and has become a huge issue affecting the aesthetics of the coastal environment, wildlife’s habitats and contaminating the food chain.
Traditional carol service at St Anne’s Limehouse, followed by an informal Christmas supper at CA House.
The evening will begin with a festive reception with mince pies and mulled wine at CA House. Then, a short 5 minute walk under a starry sky (weather permitting) along the canal path as the church bells of St Anne's Limehouse beckon us to the candlelit carol service. The Grade I listed St Anne's, consecrated in 1730, is one of Nicholas Hawksmoor's most beautiful churches and the carol service is a truly special event.
The CA will be in its usual spot on our bright and spacious Stand J419 and we’re looking forward to welcoming you and your friends, so do spread the word.

Throughout the year CA House is host to a number of events, some related to sailing and some to the local community. A group called Home Instead is running quarterly activity groups for older residents of the Narrow Street and Wapping area… and they would also welcome CA members.
