European Inland Waterways

Our Autumn Meeting is on Saturday November 15 (Coffee 1015, Start 1045 - Changed from first version of programme, Formal End 3.30 but conversations can continue as long as desired). We plan to have talks on Belgium, the Netherlands and a voyage from Wales to Holland via the Somme and other places. Our website and the Captain's Mate app will also feature. We will, of course, have one of Agnieszka's lunches and end the programme with our usual "Tables of Expertise" accompanied by  "Bring and Buy" and "CA merchandise" tables.

European Inland Waterways Section Autumn Lunch and Get-Together

The programme for the Autumn Meeting at CA House on Saturday 30 November is attached.

The Next get-together of the European Inland Waterways Section will be on Saturday 16 March 2013. The format is similar to our previous meetings with interesting talks and discussions, and an excellent lunch in the middle.

EIWS will hold its End of Season Meeting on Saturday 24 November 2012 at CA House.

A Buffet Lunch will be included in the price for the day.

The cost is:

• CA Members £21
• Non Members £31

(If a non member who attends joins the CA on the day, they will be refunded the difference between the non-member and CA member meeting prices.)

Attached is the programme for our 2012 Spring Meeting. Following discussion at the Autumn Meeting, we have a less "crowded" agenda and hope for more interaction between members.

Meeting on Saturday 26 November 2011  at CA House

11 am – 5 pm

This is our first ‘all day’ meeting and this format should give us time for more detailed presentations and fuller discussions than have been possible at previous evening meetings.

 The programme will include 4 talks on specific cruising areas – France & Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and ‘further east’ which will include the Czech Republic and the Rhine-Danube link.
