Cruising Europe: fast and slow,

European Inland Waterways Section Autumn Meeting

Talks will include Mike Biden on Cruising the River Ring made up of stretches of the Rhine, the Moselle and the Meuse, and so taking in France, Germany and Luxembourg; and an Overview of French Inland Waterway Cruising presented by Julian & Vanessa Dussek.

We will also have Robert Harris introducing us to the underrated Waterways of Northern Germany, Berlin and the area around it..

Choosing a boat for inland cruising will be considered by Brenda and John Davison.

Following the morning's talks, there will be informal afternoon sessions centred around  'tables of expertise'.

As well as covering cruising areas (including France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany,  and also other topics of particular interest and relevance, such as Rules and Regulations (which, whilst largely based on the Colregs, contain important additions the reflect that much river and canal cruising necessarily involves frequent close quarters manoeuvering.)

Cost for the day including morning coffee and a buffet lunch will be £25 for members and £36 for non-members.
