The stories of our local HLR: An evening to hear about the role and activities of our local HLR (Honorary Local Representative), Michael Andrews, including some tales of Michael’s experiences of eleven years navigating deep seas and fifty plus years sailing in home waters

The Essex Section are running our East Coast Rally at Burnham-on-Crouch for the first weekend on Burnham Week 26^th to 28^th August 2017. 

This is the 125^th Burnham Week and the Burnham Week Joint Clubs’ Committee (JCC) are pleased to welcome us to enjoy the first weekend.

For March’s waterside lunch we’ve picked a yacht club which has been fairly recently revamped and comes highly recommended, thanks to Ken Nunn for arranging this one for us. Located in Walton-on-Naze it is one of the oldest established clubs in the area, having been formed in 1920.

For 2017’s first waterside lunch this coming winter, in January we’ve picked a yacht club we’ve enjoyed in the past – No problem with the tides for the strood on this day. The club is located on Mersea Island in the village of West Mersea in the River Blackwater in Essex. We hope to see plenty of friends there.
