Posts and news about the CA (was called CA House)

Thank you to all our volunteers

As the UK celebrates National Volunteers’ Week from 3-9 June, the Cruising Association extends its gratitude to all our volunteers.

The dedication and contributions of all our volunteers are instrumental in ensuring the CA remains a renowned and world leading association.

Our President, Derek Lumb, shares his personal message of thanks:

The Cruising Association names the National Coastwatch Institution as official charity

The CA is pleased to announce the National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) as our charity partner.

The NCI has touched thousands of peoples’ lives over the last three decades through their vital work in safeguarding life at sea along the coastline of England and Wales. The CA is proud to endorse charities that contribute to the safety and well-being of the on-water community.

Cruising Association welcomes easier check in/out for cruising to France

French officials have announced a new ‘protocol’ for small boats to enter France from outside of the EU.

Normally boats would have to arrive at and depart from a Port of Entry (PPF), although last year there were a few ports with a special derogation which allowed entry for a limited period.

Non-members can subscribe to the bite-sized edition of 'Cruising' magazine

In our quarterly magazine Cruising, members will find more than 100 pages of cruising news and features, updates on the activities of the CA’s groups and committees and our latest discount list.
