For August’s journey of discovery to one of the 6,500+ locations on CAptain’s Mate app, we head to Cala Gavetta on the island of La Maddalena, part of the Maddalena archipelago in the province of Sassari, northern Sardinia, Italy.
This is a repeat of the successful event held in February at the request of members who were unable to attend then.
For more than forty years Julian Dussek has been studying the history of eating in England. On Saturday 15 October we will be serving a "Historical Meal" at Limehouse with dishes ranging from the Roman period to the 18C. Julian will give a very brief talk before each course describing the culinary background.
Our AGM is due to be held at CA House, subject to any Covid restrictions, on Wednesday November 9, 2022, at 6.30pm.
The nomination of any candidate who is willing to stand for Council membership should be submitted either by letter or by e-mail (office@theca.org.uk) to the Company Secretary at CA House before Tuesday, September 27.
CA House including the cabins and library will be closed on Friday 5 August 2022 from 12pm. The Galley will remain open and will be serving drinks but no food will be available.
