Cowes Week 2023, 27 July-2 August, marked the third year the CA has partnered with the regatta to support the increasingly popular Club Cruiser Class.
Welcoming thirty-three entries, the Club Cruiser Class is ideal for family crews, accommodates all skill levels, and the one race per day format features courses to suit cruising boats.
Enjoy a festive evening with CA friends beginning with a reception with mulled wine and mince pies at CA House, then processing to St Anne’s Limehouse for a candelight carol service. Stroll back to CA House where we will share an informal Christmas supper.
This month we head to Porto Montenegro, a popular and well-known location in Tivat, Montenegro.
Providing excellent shelter, Porto Montenegro is a large marina located on the stunning Gulf of Kotor, which is close to Tivat airport and offers a year-round port of entry/exit.

With Cowes Week 2023 about to start, 29 July-4 August, the Cruising Association wishes teams competing in the Club Cruiser Class and Weekend Warrior Cup fair winds, fantastic racing and plenty of great memories.
We are searching for an energetic and confident team member who is self-sufficient and able to demonstrate forward thinking skills. Our chosen Events Administrator/Receptionist must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, members, and other departments within the CA. This will require excellent writing skills, telephone manners and attention to detail.
The monthly CA Club Supper at CA House in the summer months has proved popular since launching this year on 10 May. Upcoming dates for your diary are 5 July, 9 August and 6 September, with the bar opening at 1800 hours and supper from around 1930 hours.
The Alkionidhes Islands, also called ‘Kalanisa’, is a group of four islands located in the northeastern part of the Gulf of Corinth. The islands are of immense natural beauty with only a few buildings.
The CAptain’s Mate overview describes the islands as offering a ‘beautiful anchorage’ and ‘a great place to escape the crowds in August’. CA member Elizabeth Thorp recently visited the south bay on the western side of the island known as Zoodhokos and in her CAptain’s Mate report noted:
