Cruising plan summer 2011

Submitted by Catherine Brown on Wed, 11/05/2011 - 11:11

We are currently in Cherbourg on our way down Channel. The plan is to cross Biscay as soon as we reasonably can (weather window permitting), probably from Benodet to La Corunna. Then we aim to spend a few weeks exploring the Rias of Galicia before wending our way slowly homewards via the north coast of Spain, Southern and northern Brittany. Looking forward to meeting lots of CA members along the way!

Changed by Peter R Jones on 02/07/2010 11:56

I should be most grateful to from anyone who has recently taken the route to Le Havre via ;- R Rhone, R Saone, canal Marne a la Saone,C. lateral de la Marne, R Yonne ,R Seine.

Mainly I am uncertain whether this is possible for a !.8m craft and if so, the best time of year to go.

I am currently moored for the summer in Barcelona.

Harbour Guide 4 Bergen-Kirkenes

Submitted by (Jon Amtrup) on Mon, 07/06/2010 - 20:29

My new (and first) book the Harbour Guide Bergen-Kirkenes has just been published. It is bi-lingual in Norwegian and English and covers 430 harbours and anchorages from Bergen to Kirkenes on the Norwegian coast. See www.havneguiden.no for more information. Here you will also find harbours from the rest of the Norwegian coast, and the Swedish and Danish coast. It's in Norwegian but the aerial pictures and photos are very informative, and if you use Google translator on the text you will get the hang of it.
