David Jillings - From Pin Mill to Rømø, the cruise of the Drascombe Longboat Badekar.

Badekar’s seven week cruise was intended to reach the Baltic, and to retrace the steps of David’s Viking ancestors who settled in Suffolk from Denmark. Starting with a 40-hour solo crossing of the North Sea, he eventually reached Denmark (although not the Baltic).

Visit to the RNLI All Weather Lifeboat Centre, 15th March

Starting at 1630 hours this is a 1 hour tour of the new in house lifeboat production facilities at the RNLI HQ site in Poole. It may be possible to precede this with a separate 1½ hr tour of the training College.

Charges including a donation will apply. Numbers are limited and priority will be given to CA members.
