The Cruising Association has joined forces with leading UK marine companies to offer some superb prizes and discounts for the duration of the London Boat Show.
Royal Navy continues its advice: Don’t sail in the western Indian Ocean
New pirate attacks on vessels in the Indian Ocean in the last week have renewed calls for yachts not to sail in the area.
The Cruising Association’s Regulations and Technical Services team - RATS – is part of a group closely monitoring events in the western Indian Ocean, liaising both with bodies within the marine industry as well as the Royal Navy.
And the continuing advice has to be: ‘Don’t sail in the high risk area.’
Our patron Sir Robin Knox-Johnson was spotted looking suave and relaxed at the foot of Tower Bridge as the Clipper Yachts were leaving St. Katherine’s Dock for the start of their “Adventure of a Lifetime” on Sunday 1st September.
To keep the Association in good form and to continue to prosper, much important work has to be done, especially through Council, so assistance from Members is invaluable. The AGM will be held at CA House on Wednesday 27th November, 2013 at 6.30pm.

The Italians are getting quite keen on fining foreign-flagged yachts and the excuse of "i didn't know" has little effect. The HLR in Savona has no idea how this restriction will be enforced but his advice is to stay well clear.
