Like most cruising yachtsmen, I am inevitably involved in "Marine DIY" projects.
Just wondered if there was room somewhere in MyCA for a section on "Handy Tips".
Here's an example:
Having completed an epoxying job, there is always some mixed resin left over.
Put this in a sealed container and put it in the freezer. I have found that you can use this a month or more later! The same goes for brushes, rollers & paintpads used when epoxying or oil-based painting . .no need to wash them out - just freeze them but:
a. Label the bag with the colour/paint used.
b. Ensure they are well sealed as varnish or epoxy-flavoured chips aren't very palatable!
I am sure there are many who would like to share their ideas and experiences (bad as well as good) and, probably, an equal number who would welcome them.
