The cast of characters involved in the Americas Cup ranges from Thomas Lipton (of tea fame), through Thomas Stopwith (of Stopwith Camel fame), through Alan Bond (of prison fame), to Larry Ellison. The talk examines these eclectic characters and the way the design of the Americas Cup boats has changed. With the Americas Cup in Barcelona in 2024, what better time to find out about this incredible history?
