Marine Watercolour Painting in Retirement - Surinder Beerh - Cancelled

The storm forecast for Wednesday and Thursday has caused us to cancel this event as the speaker, organiser and Section Secretaries all live a considerable distance from the venue and do not wish to risk driving in heavy rain and strong wind. We are very disappointed to be cancelling. Bookers will receive a full refund via PayPal.

Never having painted until ten years ago, Surinder is now an acclaimed artist producing wonderful paintings of boats and seascapes. He has agreed to give a demonstration of his painting technique during the talk. He trained as a Chartered Accountant in the City of London and worked most of his life for a couple of Lloyd’s Broking houses specialising in insurance and reinsurance – first as a finance director and then as a CEO. He travelled extensively round the world on business and his interest for art grew from there. After 40 years of a hectic lifestyle he retired in 2012. Wanting to do something to keep busy, he found an art class at a local art school in St Ives and fell in love with watercolour focusing on marine subjects.

Date and Time: Thursday 2nd November 2023, Doors open at 11:00, Talk at 11:30, Lunch at 13:00.
