Solent December Meeting Saturday 9th December 2017 at  the Waters Edge Restaurant Mercury Marina Hamble

Saturday 9 December will be our Christmas Social Event with a difference, as we have invited the Editor of Cruising, Camilla Hermann, to come and judge a photo competition and to talk to us about "Taking ­and making­ better photographs", most likely by reference to some of the competition entries.

As most of us now use digital cameras, we expect that almost all entries will be in digital format, so please get thinking which are your best.

If you prefer to submit hard copy prints, they should be a minimum size of 5 x 7in. Please refer to the Competition Rules set out in the attachment below.

It will be really helpful if entries can reach us by Monday 4 December, but we shall not exclude entries on the night when all digital entries will be projected, with hard copy prints on display.

We look forward to seeing you on  the night and to your entries for the photo competition, the first the section has run for several years.
