Section meeting followed by a talk by Graham and Kate Walker about their experiences in the Med.
The meeting at CA House will start at 18:45 when we will have the usual, very brief, Section meeting to update on latest news etc, followed by the talk at 19:15 .....
"To and from the Med in four years".
In 2012, Graham and Kate Walker relocated their OVNI 395, Barracuda, from Portsmouth to the Med, returning to Scotland 4 years later. Their talk will cover the highlights, and lessons learned, of Barracuda’s journey to Turkey via freighter, the 3 1/2 years Barracuda spent in the Med, her trip back through the Med to southern France and then her return to Scotland via the French canals.
There is no charge for attending this event, but it would be helpful if you could let us know if you would like to attend by e-mailing Jeremy Batch at CA House reception@theca.org.uk . There is a maximum number of people that the Assembly Room in CA House can accommodate; if this number is reached we might have to turn away people that come on the night and have not indicated that they want to attend.
Bar Supper - If you are going to attend the meeting and would like supper please could you definitely let us know by e-mailing Jeremy reception@theca.org.uk It helps to make catering easier if we have an indication of numbers. As usual supper can be ordered at the bar on the night, to eat after the talk at approximately 20:15, or before if you are really early ie 18.00.
