Along the Lycian Coast
Suzie O’Hagan has, once again, kindly volunteered to organise a Cruise in Company in 2015. If you are interested in joining this event please contact Suzie. Past experience has shown that these events get booked up very quickly!
The provisional start date will be Monday 21st September 2015 and the finish date about 4th October 2015. We will travel over a 2 week period from Göcek to Finike, using anchorages and marinas en-route to allow us to visit some of the fabulous Lycian sites in this area (e.g. Tlos, Letoon, Xanthos, Patara, Kaleköy, Demre, and Myra). Once we get to Finike we hope to have enough time to visit Arykanda and Termessos.
Thanks to our HLRs we have negotiated very preferential rates at the two marinas we will use (Finike and Kaş) and we will also have reserved berths on the town quay in Göcek.
We suggest meeting in Keci Buku a week before the Cruise in Company: (ie 14th September 2015). We will have free use of a jetty there and a celebration dinner is planned. Any CA members in the area will also be very welcome and a private bus can be organised to take people to and from Marmaris. Those continuing on to do the whole Cruise in Company will have a week to sail to Göcek: we will travel in company and have some social activities planned en route to keep us amused.
Early notice of this Cruise in Company is being provided so that those who wish to participate can factor in the timings with visa requirements.
