Masterclass in surveying small boats, 29 November 2014
CA London is running a special interest masterclass on surveying small boats on Saturday 29 November, presented by Martin Evans.
The seminar aims to show owners and crews what they might look out for on their own boats or on prospective purchases, whatever the construction material. Any requests for specific topics will be welcomed and there will be a q+a session.
A full member of YDSA, Martin Evans spent his university years living on an old wooden boat, and cruised in N. Europe, the Med, the Caribbean and elsewhere for fifteen years, working his way with boat maintenance, deliveries and charter. Since 1986 he has been surveying full-time and for the past six or more years has also been involved in surveyor training. He runs a course in Ipswich, hosted by Fox’s Marina and other local yards. Originally devised by Paul Stevens, it has been recognised as the most practical course available.
