Riverside Barbie

Following on from a successful fitting out supper held last month at The Upper Thames Sailing Club, we thought we would squeeze in one more social meet this Spring. The UTSC have a Friday evening open in their busy schedule of events and if the weather is kind this will make a great riverside location for our BBQ. If the weather is not so kind we can always retire to the Clubhouse!

Once again, we will need to provide catering numbers to UTSC ahead of time, so let us know if you plan to join us and if you plan to bring along any guests - all are very welcome.

Directions: Four miles from junction 4 of the M40 and eight miles from junction 8/9 of the M4. From the A404(M), take the A4155 towards Bourne End. Shortly after entering the 30mph limit, take the first turning on the right (Coldmoorholme Lane). Once past The Spade Oak pub, turn left into Upper Thames Way (unmade road) and follow the road round to the car park.

After parking, please be careful crossing the railway - it is used every day all through the year.

Alternative Route: Continue into Bourne End town and turn right into Wharf Lane opp the BP garage. Continue to Bourne End Marina. Parking available on road, or in the OTT Restaurant Car Park. UTSC is a five minute walk from here. Turn right and walk along the river path between the Marina berths and a short stretch of half a dozen houses. This route may be kinder than the unmade road on low slung cars!
