Cruising the Western Mediterranean on a budget, by Tony Montgomery-Smith
Many cruisers rush from Gibraltar to the East Med, maybe because they think the West Med too expensive, or simply not a great cruising ground.
Tony hopes to show us how to enjoy the West Med on a tight budget. The most important economy is to anchor in the many delightful calas rather than patronising the (very) expensive marinas, and Tony will be taking us (in pictures!) to anchorages on mainland Spain, the Balearics, Sardinia, Corsica and Elba. It is also possible to eat economically, not spend money on fuel, lay up affordably and come home cheaply, and Tony’s talk will show how he has done all of these.
