Solent Section April Meeting - Fitting Out Supper 2014

This is the notice of our annual Fitting Out Supper that is to be held at the Royal Air Force Yacht Club Hamble on Saturday 26th April 2014.

This is the last event of the winter programme 2013-14 

We will dine to a 3-course supper at the RAFYC, Hamble (Note - not Waters Edge at Mercury where we have held other meetings this winter).

Our after-dinner speaker this year is CA member Martin Hare who has cruised extensively inland, then to Ireland, followed by East Coast mud; then the Baltic States and 250 miles into Russia, followed by Finland, the Åland Islands, and across Sweden to Norway.

Martin will be speaking on, ‘Confessions from the pulpit.......it's not all plain sailing’ .  

This is a light-hearted look at scrapes and bumps afloat and ashore not found in a log!  .

Inevitably for many, antifoul under fingers nails is a feature not entirely unexpected by members and guests at a Fitting Out Supper,  but hopefully not on one's clothes!
