The last summer meet of 2013 courtesy of the Royal Southampton Yacht Club at Gins Farm on the Beaulieu River, one of the most attractive and least developed parts of the Solent.
Friday 20th: Some boats will muster in Newtown Creek. If coming please let either Alec or Tim know.
Saturday 21st: Cate and Alec request the pleasure of your company for a Sharpener on the Pontoon beside Yo Ho Ho at 1800.
A three course dinner with coffee at 1930 in the Clubhouse - cost of £25 per head.
MENU: Smoked mackerel salad finished with a horseradish chive cream
Rich tender slow cooked beef bourguignon
Strawberry and raspberry Eton mess
Coffee and mints
A vegetarian option is available if booked in advance
The Yacht Club will be open from 1800 for members' use; dinner served at 1930.
Berthing mainly on river pontoon (no shore access) or swinging moorings. Services of the Club Boatswain and launch will be free of charge up to 18.00.
If you are willing to pay an extra shared charge of up to £2.50 per drunken sailor for the Liberty Boat back to your yacht after dinner, please mark the booking slip below accordingly. Please pay Alec in cash before the meal.
Numbers are restricted with bookings on a first come first served basis, so book early!
Please see the Booking Form in the attachment below and return the booking form including S.A.E. to the organisers by Friday 14 September at the latest and please note telephone bookings are not wanted.
Final details and list of attendees will be sent by e-mail on receipt of your booking form. Please provide S.A.E. if no e-mail address.
