Peter Duck. Note the revised timetable.

An Evening in Two Parts with Julia Jones

Afternoon and Evening Meeting at RHYC, Woolverstone.

Note the revised timetable.

Julia is the owner of Peter Duck, built for Arthur Ransome in 1946 by Harry King of Pin Mill as “a sort of marine Bath chair for my old age”. As well as caring for Peter Duck - in beautiful condition when we saw her this summer-  Julia has found time to write a series of books which carry on the tradition of the ‘Swallows and Amazons’ stories. These are very highly rated on the Amazon website, receiving five star reviews. We have arranged this meeting for the afternoon with high tea so that your children and grandchildren can come along to meet the author.
