The Cruising Association is delighted to announce that CA member Adrian Lockwood is the lucky winner of our exclusive to members Big Summer Prize Draw.
Adrian has won an impressive Fendertex C-73 docking pack worth £1275, generously provided by Seaview Progress. The pack includes six fenders in a bespoke storage bag, with spliced whips, fender covers and an inflation adapter.
Adrian entered the prize draw at the CA Stand during the Southampton International Boat Show. By the time entries closed at 1500 hours on Wednesday 18 September 2024, the draw had attracted almost 600 entries from CA members around the world.
Adrian sails his Bavaria C45 ‘Under Pressure’ out of Gosport, cruising the Solent and the English Channel. Thrilled with his win, Adrian said, "I am absolutely surprised and delighted to have won a set of inflatable fenders in the prize draw.
"Stowage space on board is always at a premium especially when cruising with a full crew or on an extended trip away. Fenders either take up valuable locker space or can be tiresome when hung over the stern. Having fenders which compact down to only a fraction of their inflated size will be a real boon."
Adrian has chosen a set of black fenders, which will be delivered in the coming weeks.

Prize Draws reward CA Members
Each year the CA runs two exclusive Big Prize Draws for our members – one in Winter and one in Summer.
The Winter Prize Draw, launched at the Boat Show and runs until 1700 hours on 19 March 2025. The prize is a one-week Sail Aegean charter holiday in Greece, worth up to £3,400.
These draws are a way of the CA saying thank you to our members. In collaboration with leading marine brands, the CA selects prizes that appeal to our sail and motor cruising members, adding to the numerous benefits of membership.
