Cancelled: Crossing Biscay and Cruising Northern Spain

Following the revised advice issued by the Government on 16 March this event has been cancelled.

A Biscay Crossing should always be given respect and careful planning. For many of us, it will be our first passage lasting more than 25 hours and for some as long as three days. What are the best port of departure and arrival? How do we make the best use of weather information and how will that influence the proposed route. What about looking after the crew, watch-keeping? What are the limits of your comfort zone?

The coast of Northern Spain provides a beautiful and fascinating cruising ground, but an experience very different from that of cruising in the UK or France. The speakers will, in the tradition of the CA share their experiences of crossing the Bay of Biscay and cruising this coast, together with our meteorologist who will advise on sources of weather information and how to get the best from them.

The cost of the day includes a two-course hot-buffet lunch, tea and coffee and an information pack.

CA members £37.50 Non-members £47.50. Special Offer  Couple rate £67.50 if booked before the end of February.
