Our Winter Warmer meetings for 2024/5 start on Thursday 10th October at 20.00.
Our first talk is by Dick Holness when he will be updating us on the navigation and sailing in these waters.The East Coast Pilot has become the bible for cruising sailors in the waters from Great Yarmouth to Ramsgate.
Over the years Dick and co-author Garth Cooper have constantly monitored the ever changing conditions in this area. A new edition was published in April 2024 and has some very clear photographs to aid approach to the harbours and anchorages.
We meet at the Dog and Bear Hotel in Lenham ME17 2PG, there is a car park behind the hotel or parking is available in the square opposite. Some of us have dinner in the Hotel beforehand, please phone the Hotel to book a table and let them know what time you will be arriving. We will publicise the menu nearer the time. Our meetings cost £3.00 per person and are booked and paid for via Eventbrite, the link will be available a couple of weeks before the date.
