For those who either sail or plan to sail the Mediterranean, on November 13 we have a great opportunity to meet Rod and Lu Heikell

Since first setting out for the Med in 1976, Rod has published many pilot books and guides, over 19 according to CA library's last count, and most sailors in the Med will have a Heikell guide at their side.

Tour around a Brewery!

The Rebellion Beer Co, Marlow Brewery. We have arranged a tour around the Brewery on Tuesday, 3rd April meeting at 1900. The tour price is £10 per head and includes the chance to taste 5 different beers. There is also a bbq which is not included in the price however food costs range from £2.50 to £4.50 depending on what you chose to eat.

The address: Rebellion Beer Company, Benscombe Farm, Marlow Bottom, Bucks SL7 3LT. The Brewery is situated about 5 minutes drive from A404 if leaving the roundabout at the High Wycombe end.

From the Baltic to the Adriatic via Austria

The crew of Concord cruised to The Baltic from the UK in 2003 and spent five seasons investigating the coasts of Denmark, Baltic Germany, Sweden, Latvia, and Estonia. They then put their boat on a truck and sent it by road to Slovenia on the Adriatic. Three seasons later, having sailed into Venice and visited the whole coastline of Croatia, they have put down roots for the time being at an island near Zadar.

Living the Dream - The Tradewinds

Talk by Richard and Pam Moore on their 52000 mile voyage completed last year and taking in some of the warmer ports of the world. Along the way they survived a double lighting strike in the Gulf Stream, made it safely through the Gulf of Aden, though not without some scares, and sailed most of the Red Sea without an engine.

Laying up Supper

The laying up supper is a choice of Fish Pie or Cottage Pie with a selection of vegetables. We will need to provide catering numbers to Harleyford a week before the event so please let me know if you plan to join us, and if you plan to bring along any guests.
