The course will be run online through Zoom. On your PC/MAC/Mobile you will be able to see the instructor, any slides he might show, there is a whiteboard function and you can ask him any questions. It is just like being in the classroom, but you can 'stay safe' at home!

Details: The Day Skipper theory course is ideal for someone interested in learning how to sail or for someone that knows how to sail already but hasn't really done any navigation. This is a shore based course, so all the lessons will be carried out in CA House. The course equips you with enough knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day. A basic knowledge of lights is also included to introduce you to night cruising.

The one day RYA First Aid at Sea Course provides a working knowledge of First Aid for people using small craft, and support to skippers of yachts and small craft working within 60 nautical miles of a safe haven. The RYA First Aid at Sea Course is approved by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

Details: A VHF radio is an essential piece of safety equipment and it is vital to understand the correct procedures. The course will teach you these procedures. To get the VHF Radio Licence, (Short Range Certificate SRC) you must successfully complete a course and then take a separate classroom based assessment.
