Elektra is our 1984 Sadler 29 which we (Bruce & Vicki) bought in November 2016, she was in good condition as I didn't want a project but we are updating her ready for when I can retire (a few years yet). Until then just weekends and week long holidays. Our cruising ground is the south coast of Devon & Cornwall, when time and weather allows also the Isles of Scilly. We like finding an anchorage away from others, so if do to you will find plenty for our sailing area in my blog.

Shearwater is a 345 Moody, sailed in the mediterranean by David Innes-Wilkin and Sarah Ackroyd. Since leaving our Dartmouth berth in 2015 we have sailed though the French canals, out at Marseilles, down the Cote d'Azur, Corsica, Sardinia, Italy, Sicily Greece Ionians and Sporades. |

Our blog serves as a personal record of our adventures and experiences since leaving the UK in 2012 whilst allowing family and friends to keep up-to-date with our whereabouts. We hope that our blog provides some useful information for other sailors who may be planning a similar adventure to ours. Our dream to take early retirement and cruise slowly down and into the Med unexpectedly came early... 15 year's early, due to us being made redundant (we both worked for the same company).
