Another event-packed Bank Holiday weekend for all CA East Coast Sailors. Suffolk, Essex and Kent CA Members usually attend with a few from further away, and all are most welcome.
Activities: There will be a Passage “Race” and indoor “Pontoon Party” on Saturday; on Sunday an outing; Royal Harwich Art Exhibition; and dinner with speaker; and a Monday morning walk along the river to the Butt and Oyster at Pin Mill - an event-packed weekend.
Date: Early May Bank Holiday weekend, arrive on Saturday 4th May, depart on Monday 6th May.
Venue: Royal Harwich Yacht Club Marina on the River Orwell.
Transport: Arrive by boat (preferential mooring rates), car (free parking at RHYC), motor home (book and pay MDL Marina on 01473 780206 for parking), bicycle or foot for all or some of the activities.
Open to: Members of the CA, CS, and their guests.

Programme:
Saturday 4th May
Passage “Race” – predict your time of arrival to Woolverstone, for arrival on Saturday, whether you are coming by boat, car, motor home, bicycle or on foot.
17:30 “Pontoon Party” – held indoors in the Orwell room, up the stairs just inside RHYC, a chance to meet the other participants, please bring your own glasses, a drink and a little food to share, savoury or sweet.
The RHYC bar and galley will be open until 20.30.
Sunday 5th May
Outing
09:15 Meet on the RHYC lawn and depart in shared cars.
10:15 Bawdsey Radar Museum visit
11:45 Depart for Suffolk Punch Trust with oportunity to buy lunch, visit the exhibition (free) and take a tour of the farm to see the horses (extra).
Afternoon: you may choose to visit Sutton Hoo National Trust or stop in Woodbridge for a look at the museums and the Sutton Hoo ship reconstruction with your driver.
Later: Return to Woolverstone with your driver.
Evening
17:30 Royal Harwich Art Club Exhibition, private viewing with a pre-dinner glass of wine
18.30 for 19:00 Dinner: Three course meal with an after dinner address by Andy Beharrell titled "Tollesbury". He says that when you drive into Tollesbury the “Welcome” village sign tells you to set your clocks back to 200 years; and it's been an extraordinary 200 years from smuggling, through shipbuilding, to fishing, and the America’s Cup. Andy’s talk will examine some of the lighter and darker moments of Tollesbury’s eclectic history.
Monday 6th May
10:00 Meet on the RHYC lawn for a walk through the woods to the Butt and Oyster and treat yourselves to a drink.
Departure for home.
