Calling all Photographers!
The time has come to select your best photos of the 2023 sailing season and to enter them in our very popular Suffolk Photo Competition.
Last year's winning picture Sunrise over the Deben by Nick Baber is displayed here.
Top Lines:
- Entry Deadline: midnight on Wednesday 31st January 2024
- Subject: “boating” in its broadest sense
- Format: best quality jpeg only
- Number of photos: up to three
- Name each jpeg file with your name and the picture title
- Include your CA or RHYC membership number in your email

RULES
- The Competition is only open to CA and RHYC Members.
- There is one class “Boating”.
- Maximum of three entries per person.
- Entries limited to jpeg digital images.
- Entries must be received by midnight on 31st January 2024.
- The competition organiser will form a panel to select the best six photos from the entries received.
- The Winter Talk audience will be asked to vote for their favourite photos from the six and the results announced.
- The identity of the person submitting an entry will not be disclosed to the audience before voting is complete.
- The photo attracting the most votes will be announced as the winner and the person who submitted it will receive a prize. Second and third places will also be announced.
- The choices made by the panel and by the voting audience will be final.
- By entering the competition members agree to their images being used by the Cruising Association and the Royal Harwich Yacht Club free of charge and confirm that they have any necessary permissions regarding use of the image.
ENTRIES
a. There is no entry fee.
b. The closing date for entries is midnight on 31st January 2024.
c. Please use the highest possible resolution for entries to facilitate reproduction in the CA and RHYC publications.
d. Remember please, entries to be submitted only in jpeg format.
e. The file name should be my name and the title of the picture.
f. There must be no text added to the photo, i.e. no name or title.
g. Entries should be as email attachments sent by clicking on this link:
