Michael will give us an insight into what its really like sailing in high latitudes, away from that pesky Mediterranean heat! A retired marine engineer, he spent 16 years at sea followed by many years in Japanese shipyards building container ships and finally a stint in charge of a Japanese refrigeration company. Since 2006 he has sailed over 40,000 miles single handed visiting Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland in his Moody 42 Centre Cockpit ketch, Pangey.

As usual the bar will be available. Please note that the CA now need to subsidise the bar if the takings are not sufficient to cover the cost of opening it so attendees are encouraged to make make full use of the facilities. (Except of course for your designated driver!)
A flyer is attached, please print for your sailing club notice board. Find this event in our online bookings facility or contact the section secretary at essex@theca.org.uk. BSC members can sign up at the club. You can turn up and pay on the door but we won't promise a meal unless you have booked.
