Near and Far

We have four speakers lined up for this always popular evening which promises to live up to the description - “Near and Far”.

  • Ann Kell’s sailing adventures in a Wayfarer dinghy are always interesting, this time she has been to the Canadian lakes.
  • Peter Hibbard, of the Woolverstone Project will return to of his experience sailing a 3m dinghy from the Orwell to Tower Bridge. You may remember that we heard from him last year when he told us of his plans for the trip.
  • John Cresswell will describe the activities of the Coastal Patrol Rescue Services.
  • Ron Sutherland is going to tell us about sailing the Black Sea.

This year’s Photo Competition has the theme “Home Waters”. Interpret this as you wish. Details below, but do enter shots of your favourite waters. In the past competition entries have reached a wider audience by appearing in Cruising magazine and even featured on its cover.

Bar open 18:00, Meal at 18:45, Talk 20:00

Details of all talks can be found in the December 2013 Suffolk Newsletter. A booking form can be downloaded here.
