The CA’s long established Refer a Friend membership programme continues to thrive and for 2024, the discount has been refined, the joining fee is gone, and we have expanded how we say thank you to members.
The CA’s priority remains on building a community that values quality advice and connections. Member referrals remain the most significant way we welcome new members.
Discount
Members can offer a 20% discount1 off membership to their friends. And, as a thank you for growing our cruising community, the referring member also benefits and receives a £20 voucher2. The voucher can be used for purchases in the CA shop and, as a new option, it can also be spent on cabin accommodation at CA House.
CA House offers easy access to central London, so whether you’re attending a CA event, visiting the library and information centre, enjoying the bar/restaurant or using CA House as a base to visit London, it is the perfect location.
Additionally, from April to September, we boost the Refer a Friend promotion by holding a monthly prize draw for members. Each month’s prize, with a value in the region of £150, is provided by a CA marine discount partner. Prizes in 2023 included a VHF radio, cleaning bundle, bedding set, deck shoes, chart/book voucher and training course - and we have an exciting 2024 prize line-up too!
How to Refer a Friend
Joining is easy. Simply share the 20% off discount code detailed on the member only Refer a Friend page with your friend. They can then sign up at www.theca.org.uk/join and, within the online application, they should include your name under 'Recommendation' and enter the shared discount code under 'Promotional Code'. It’s that simple!
There is no limit to the number of friends you can introduce to CA membership.
