CA President Robin Baron will talk about cruising Scilly. (NEVER the Scillies!) This archipelago out into the Atlantic, off the SW tip of Cornwall, provides a delightful cruising area. The weather is generally mild and the islands varied and peaceful. There are plentiful sheltered anchorages but unfortunately none of which are sheltered from all wind directions and so you need to keep a keen eye on the weather forecast and be prepared to move.
CA Past President Derek Lumb will then take us from Scilly via Padstow and the Welsh Coast, to the Isle of Man, a self governing Crown Dependency in the middle of the Irish Sea - home of what is claimed to be the oldest continuously sitting parliament the world and the largest surviving original water wheel in the world and a splendid Viking Castle.
