Cruise Ship Lecturer and former Commodore of the Royal Harwich Yacht Club, Terry Corner, will entertain and educate us with stories of the origins of phrases that are commonplace in our language today, but whose beginnings lie deep in maritime history. It will be a fascinating lunch time talk.

Covid-19 Special Arrangements for our Winter Talks: Due to Government regulations, the Royal Harwich Yacht Club will be unable to open for this event. We shall therefore hold the meeting entirely on Zoom.
On Zoom: The Meeting opens at 13:30. You will be able to join us from anywhere you can get online, using your PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, and enjoy the talk and see any illustrations. We aim to make these sociable meetings and, if you wish, you may ask questions and chat with other members in small groups. Details of the Zoom meeting will be emailed to you the day before the event. Registration is for one device with as many watching as you wish. There is no charge for these Talks on Zoom for the time being.
